Performance
Due to the characteristics of the B58 engine,while torque is extremely high from around 2000 to 4000 rpm, there is a tendency for torque to drop significantly as the engine reaches higher RPMs due to the turbocharger’s capacity.
The LAPTORR exhaust is designed as a performance muffler to promote turbine rotation through low friction, delivering excellent performance in the high-RPM range.
We have also taken exhaust pressure control into consideration, so you won’t feel any loss of torque in the low-to-mid RPM range.
Sound quality is also a priority.
In Sport+ mode, the clear and pleasant exhaust note at high RPMs is incredibly racy!
In Comfort mode, the simple design helps suppress muffled sounds.
Volume
In Sport+ mode, the volume is tuned to deliver the best sporty sound and tone when the throttle is wide open, as heard from the driver’s seat.Since the Supra’s cabin has excellent sound insulation, the volume may seem a bit loud when heard from outside.
With exhaust bubbling sounds from systems like bootmod3, the volume is more than sufficient, allowing for a wide range of adjustment so you can easily tailor the volume and sound quality to your preference.
In Comfort Mode, during steady-speed cruising without acceleration, the volume is low enough to allow for comfortable conversation inside the cabin, thanks to the characteristics of the B58 engine.
　
Layout/Installation
・ The layout extends from behind the downpipe to the tailpipe.
・Connects to the downpipe without any modifications.
・Can be installed while retaining the stock diffuser.
・Uses the stock actuator, so the exhaust flaps operate exactly as they do on the stock system.
