Performance
Due to the characteristics of the B58 engine,while torque is extremely high from around 2,000 to 4,000 rpm, there is a tendency for torque to drop significantly as the engine revs increase due to the turbocharger’s capacity.
The LAPTORR exhaust is designed as a performance muffler to promote turbine rotation through low friction, delivering excellent performance in the high-rpm range.
Careful attention has also been paid to exhaust pressure control, so you won’t notice any loss of torque in the low- to mid-rpm range.
Sound quality is also a priority.
In Sport+ mode, the clear and pleasant exhaust note at high RPMs is incredibly race-like!
In Comfort mode, the simple design helps suppress “muffled” sounds.
Volume
In Sport+ mode, the volume is tuned to deliver the best sporty sound and tone from the driver’s seat when the throttle is fully open.Since the Supra’s cabin has excellent sound insulation, the volume may seem a bit loud when heard from outside.
The exhaust bubbling sound produced by systems like bootmod3 is more than loud enough, so the wide adjustment range makes it easy to tailor the volume and sound quality to your preferences.
In Comfort Mode, during steady-speed driving without acceleration, the volume is low enough to allow for comfortable conversation inside the cabin, thanks to the characteristics of the B58 engine.
　
Layout/Installation
　・ The layout extends from behind the downpipe to the tailpipe.
　・It can be installed without any modifications to the downpipe connection.
　・It can be installed while retaining the stock diffuser.
　・Since the stock actuator is reused, the exhaust flaps operate exactly as they do on the stock system.
