We will take your stock turbo and convert it to high flow by changing to a big size compressor wheel/turbine wheel and modifying the stock turbo housing.
All stock parts can be diverted.
It is possible to install without strengthening the main engine components.
Torque Characteristics of DME T uning
The S55 engine can experience strong acceleration up to around 4500rpm with DME tuning, but after 4500rpm, acceleration becomes mild and it feels like coasting until revs. However, after 4500 rpm, the acceleration becomes mild and the car seems to be coasting to revs.
This is because the amount of intake air that can be pumped by the stock turbo reaches its maximum at around 4500 rpm, and the higher the rpm, the lower the intake air fill rate, and since the maximum output is over 6000 rpm, acceleration is slowed down by the drop in torque although acceleration is achieved.
This item is recommended for those who want to reduce this drop in torque and obtain a pleasant acceleration up to the high rpm range by converting to a high-flow turbocharger.
Power Balance
In comparison with stock, torque becomes overwhelmingly higher in the rpm range higher than around 3500 rpm, but torque in the lower rpm range stays around stock.
In comparison with DME tuned vehicles, the junction point is around 4500 rpm.
The engine is smoother and easier to control from low to high rpm, and the engine blows up faster especially in the high rpm range.
Power increase requires DME's in-car tuning
It is difficult to get enough power increase just by upgrading the turbo.
DME tuning is necessary to match the upgraded turbo.
It depends on the tuning specifications and the measurement environment such as air temperature and air pressure, but it will be around 620-670 horsepower without correction of the actual measured value from the rear tires.
GCG Upgrade
This is LAPTORR's own specification and is different from GCG products.
All upgrade work including machining, assembly, and balancing will be done by GCG JAPAN.
