Performance
Due to the characteristics of the B58 engine,while torque is extremely high from around 2,000 to 4,000 rpm, there is a tendency for torque to drop significantly as the engine enters the high-rpm range due to the turbocharger’s capacity.
The LAPTORR exhaust is designed as a performance muffler; its low-friction construction promotes turbine rotation, resulting in an excellent design for high-rpm performance.
Careful attention has also been paid to exhaust pressure control, so you won’t notice any loss of torque in the low- to mid-rpm range.
Sound quality is also a priority.
In Sport+ mode, the clear and pleasant exhaust note at high RPMs is incredibly race-like!
In Comfort mode, the simple design helps suppress “muffled” sounds.
Volume
In Sport+ mode, the volume is tuned to deliver the best sporty sound and tone when the throttle is fully open, as heard from the driver’s seat.Since the Supra’s interior has excellent sound insulation, the volume may seem a bit loud when heard from outside.
With exhaust bubbling sounds from modifications like “bootmod3,” the volume becomes more than sufficient, allowing for a wide range of adjustment so you can easily tailor the volume and sound quality to your preference.
In Comfort Mode, during steady-speed cruising without acceleration, the volume inside the cabin is low enough to allow for comfortable conversation, thanks to the characteristics of the B58 engine.
　
Layout/Installation
　・ The layout extends from behind the downpipe to the tailpipe.
　・It can be installed without any modifications to connect to the downpipe.
　・It can be installed while retaining the stock diffuser.
　・Since the stock actuator is reused, the exhaust flaps operate exactly as they do on the stock system.
