It is a straight-through type with the first catalytic converter, located immediately after the turbine, removed.
Since the stock catalytic converter is located where exhaust pressure is highest, it places extreme stress on the engine; tuning to increase engine power further exacerbates these conditions, raising concerns about catalytic converter corrosion and engine knocking. A straight-type downpipe reduces exhaust pressure, improves exhaust flow, and significantly reduces the load on the engine.
