Development of the E600NA Exhaust System Begins
We are releasing an exhaust system for the E60 M5, which is equipped with BMW’s top-of-the-line naturally aspirated V10 engine.
At BMW, where turbocharged engines have become the norm, we began development because the appeal of a naturally aspirated engine’s sound simply cannot be discussed without mentioning the V10.
Since the system is equipped with flaps to ensure Comfort Mode performance, we’ve designed it to prioritize performance exclusively in Sport Mode.
Although the exhaust manifold is not part of this development, we will conduct tests using two configurations: the stock exhaust manifold and a version without a catalytic converter.
The layout consists of a middle pipe, rear silencer, and four 90mm tailpipes.
