Development of the E600NA Exhaust System Begins
We are releasing an exhaust system for the E60 M5, which is equipped with the V10—the pinnacle of BMW’s naturally aspirated engines.
With turbocharged engines now the norm at BMW, we began development because the appeal of a naturally aspirated engine’s sound simply cannot be discussed without the V10.
Since the system is equipped with flaps to ensure Comfort mode performance, we have designed it to be thoroughly focused on performance in Sport mode.
Although the exhaust manifold is not part of this development, we will conduct tests using two configurations: the stock manifold and a manifold without a catalytic converter.
The layout features a mid-pipe, rear silencer, and four 90mm tailpipes.
