
Dry Carbon Engine Hood, Trunk Lid for E46-M3
We are developing engine hood and trunk lid for E46-M3 in dry carbon. The dry carbon is designed to be lightweight. Lightweighting provides various benefits, such as improving braking and cornering limit performance, starting with improved accelerator pedal response, which is the joy of the S54/NA engine. Safety is also an important factor, and a framework is provided on the back side to provide sufficient strength performance. The engine hood will be available in stock form as well as in a ducted version. The trunk lid is in the stock CSL shape. E46-M3 EXHAUST PROTOTYPE
WE HAVE MADE A PROTOTYPE OF AN EXHAUST FOR THE E46-M3 THAT IS BEING REDEVELOPED STARTING IN 2021. WE ARE PLANNING TO LAUNCH THE PRODUCT THIS SUMMER AND FALL, AND WILL SPEND A LOT OF TIME RUNNING TESTS STARTING IN MAY. AS PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED, THE LAYOUT HAS BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY CHANGED FROM THE PREVIOUS MODEL. THE FRONT PIPE IS NOW CATALYST-LESS, AND THE LINE OF THE FRONT PIPE IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE FACTORY MODEL. THE FINISHER COMES OUT OF THE LEFT END OF THE DIFFUSER AS A SINGLE UNIT. E46-M3 DEVELOPMENT STARTED!
WE HAVE STARTED THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE E46-M3. WE HAVE A LOT OF DATA ON THE E46-M3, SO THE DEVELOPMENT SPEED WILL BE FASTER THAN THE NEW MODEL. WE HAVE A LOT OF DATA ON THE E46-M3, SO THE DEVELOPMENT SPEED WILL BE FASTER THAN WITH THE NEW MODEL. WHAT IS THE ONGOING DEVELOPMENT? THE DRY CARBON ENGINE HOOD AND TRUNK LID DESIGN ARE READY AND PROTOTYPES ARE BEING BUILT TO REDUCE WEIGHT, ENGINE COMPARTMENT COOLING, AND AERODYNAMICS. EXHAUST THE PREVIOUS VERSION HAD A STOCK CATALYST FROM BEHIND AND A 4-5-6 FRONT PIPE. THE MODEL UNDER DEVELOPMENT WILL BE THE PRODUCT FROM BEHIND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. THE LAYOUT HAS BEEN CHANGED DRASTICALLY TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE. IT MAY BE SET WITH THE REAR DIFFUSER THAT IS UNDER DEVELOPMENT DUE TO THE LAYOUT CHANGE.
